OH Christmas Tree!

sunday was our first time in the new ward!

although madyn was a bit of a stink, so it really didn't go over so great.

monday we put up our christmas tree.

it's kind of funny because Madyn is afraid of it.

i really wanted to practice with my camera and settings with the lights

and she freaks out if we put her by it...

although i was able to get a couple with her next to the tree...

hurry, quick, snap!!!

but not quite the photography moments i was looking for lol.

at least our ornaments will stay nicely on the tree... for this year anyways.

we have had such nice weather this week

and have spent some time at the park.

let me tell you this girl LOVES the swings!!!

she freaks out when it's time to go.

this week we pulled out madyn's "silkies" for the first time.

it's an erickson girl family tradition.

all of us have had plenty pairs of these gems!

i have to admit, i did love her in them!

she however thought it was no big deal...

i guess give her a few years.

wednesday i had a little get away to cheyenne.

we had some stuff to return and a few things to buy.

im so grateful for a sweet husband that understands my needs

to get away and just be alone.

i gotta tell you that boy gets me. :)

saturday we went down town for
a free horse and carriage ride.
madyn really didn't know what to think of it all.
but it was still pretty fun!

back home

sunday we headed back to ol laradise!

it was sooo nice being home after being in the valley for a couple of weeks.

it was time to play catch up with errands, grocery shopping, and cleaning.

we had a really busy first couple of days.

eric and madyn were still down with there colds.

tuesday we went and watched some cowboy basketball.

it was my fist time being there since the dome had been redone. 

it's super nice!

madyn LOVED the game.

she would clap, yell YAY!!! dance, cheer.

she just tickled me!

saturday morning i got up and took some family pictures.
i love this family sooo much!
it was pretty chilly so we had to move pretty quick but they were such good sports!

 we then went to murdoch's to visit Santa...
we weren't too shocked by this outcome.

but in all honesty these pictures are my FAVORITE!!!
after that we +mark
headed up to the mountains to find a Christmas tree.
i was pretty proud because we cut down the one i picked out.
it was a pretty fun day!

another good week in the books!!
and the tree looks tons better in person- i swear!!!

Playing Catch Up!

Week of Nov 9-15

we were still mainly getting moved in and everything in order still.

on the 9th was the happiest day of my life!!!

i got my very own WASHER AND DRYER!!!

that weekend don and dad came down to laramie to watch 

some state football.

let me tell you it was FREEZING COLD!!!

literally -16 degrees with the wind chill...

....BBBBRRRRR....

but we still had a ton of fun!

we had some interesting dinners and lots of laughs.

on saturday night me and mads headed back to lyman

with don and dad.

Week of Nov 16-22

Monday me and Jamie went out to the Urie School

to have lunch with Mom and Megan.

we were even able to sneak Ryee and Abby in with us.

we had a fun lunch with them.

Tuesday I was able to get my infusion and then 

later that day I headed down to Heber.

Micah had seven photoshoots set up for me.

two of them cancelled so I ended up doing 5.

I had a lot of fun...

here are some of my favorites...

Friday I met back up with mom and dad and we headed down to the U for 

my doctor's appointment.

i know this is silly but it was kind of an emotional day for me...

I haven't had symptom relief for a long time and so they scheduled me up for lots of testing...

Saturday was dad's birthday so we had a big celebration for him.

and madyn also turned 14 months!!!

14 Months of Madyn!!!

our goofy little girl is SO full of personality!

she is walking EVERYWHERE.

she is the proud owner of 4 top teeth,

 and some more are trying to pop through!

she has quite the vocabulary and such vim and vigar when she talks.

she can communicate really well what she does and doesn't want.

she is OBSESSED with Robin Hood and Little Mermaid.

she loves to look at books, draw, and snuggle with her stuffed animals.

She loves PB&J sandwiches, Ramen Noodles and Milk.

she loves face timing, skyping and talking on the phone.

she LOVES her grandmas.

WE LOVE HER SOO MUCH!!!!

she is such an awesome little girl and we just can't get enough of her!

Week of Nov 23-29

Sunday we had a party for Mom because she PASSED HER BOARDS!!!!

we are sooo proud of her.

Monday we headed down to Utah so I could get my 4th colonoscopy.

always a joy... ;)

mom and dad took me out for a very lovely dinner after

to Joe's Crab Shack!

it was AWESOME! 

madyn slept from 6 that night to 10 the next morning!

talk about one tired little girl!!!

Tuesday eric finally was able to join us in the valley!

once he pulled into the valley we took off to Heber to spend the night

at Grandma and Grandpa Cliftens.

Wednesday morning we had to be at the U at 7:30 to start

drinking the NASTIEST, thick, chalky, 3 BIG bottles of some kind of drink.

once that was through I went in for a CT scan.

after all that ordeal we headed home.

that night Jessie can over to visit and then we went to Mockingjay Part 1.

I LOVED IT!!!!

unfortunately me and mad's started getting sick with a nasty nasty cold...

Thursday we had a lovely Thanksgiving Dinner.

Friday Me, Megs, Pays, Dad and Eric

went on a Jeep ride!

we saw lots of deer and moose.

and megs was able to get some logs for a project

she was looking for.

Saturday we went with Tony and Carilyn on a ride in the mountains.

we also took Madyn sledding and she LOVED it!

we also saw TONS of deer and one moose!

we had a great couple of weeks in the valley!!!
