Tuesday was Eric's day off so we took a trip down to Denver
to take the kiddos to the zoo!
this year Denver has a dinosaur exhibit along with the animals.
they were huge, and move, and make noises.
it's pretty cool.and madyn loved it.
we had a pretty great day.
mads loved all the animals but she was sure anxious to get to
see those giraffes.
the zoo had a new calf this spring so it was pretty fun to
see a little baby.
and it was soooo active,
she was running everywhere!
it was fun to sit and watch.
the sea lions were a blast to watch too.
they were barking and playing.
they were pushing each other off of the rocks and swimming like crazy.
I love being at the zoo when the animals are active and fun to watch
instead of just laying and napping around.
Wednesday was back to tball!
this girl sure keeps us busy!
she was sure cracking me up too.
everyone was yelling at her to put on her helmet and go out and bat
and she was just sitting in the dugout.
when her dad finally got up to tell her to go bat she insisted that she didn't want
too because she didn't want to mess up her hair.
lol. I love her spunk.
Thursday dad sent me out on a wild goose chase
to find some (20 to be exact) solar eclipse glasses.
so after the morning of making phone calls trying to track some down
we found some at the university planetarium. and FREE nonetheless!
so after we headed to pick them up we
went over to the dinosaur museum.
that evening I went to a relief society party and
since Eric was on call and at work I took the kiddos along with me.
and I swear the second I turn around madyn does something crazy to him.
that poor boy sure puts up with a lot.
Saturday was a pretty lazy day around the house...
but we eventually got up and out and took mads over to the splash pad.
we sure enjoy our family time out together :)
