week 35: all about tyson

sunday was tyson's farewell.

he did a really good job and there were a lot of people there to support him.

it was seriously a full house!

after sacrament meeting we went to the town hall where

we had a great luncheon for him.

it was a good day hanging with the gillies family.

monday morning i took some pictures of jessie.
she needed some head shots done for her new job and we had a fun time
messing around taking other pictures.

after me, madyn, dad, and mom headed out on a jeep ride to bridger lake
to meet up with tony, carilyn, tyson, eric, mark, brandy and easton.
the weather was soo beautiful and it felt soo good being outside.
we went for a little ride around the lake
and just hung out with each other.

tuesday and wednesday we had a good time hanging with the
colemen crew and the other cousins.

she's sooo close to crawling!

wednesday was rylee's "celebration" for kindergarden.

 

and later that night me and mads went to watch tyson's awards ceremony.

the rest of the night spent a lot of time with my family,
some hard news had hit our family pretty hard and we needed to be together.

thursday morning we found out that our family friend don burgner had passed away.
it was a pretty hard day around the erickson household.
we sure love our daddy don
and it breaks my heart that his heart was breaking.

friday i had my infusion and hung out with megan and her kids
while i was getting it done.
we had a good morning together.

that afternoon we headed over to the gillies house.
phil and ina had made it from st george and it was their first time meeting mads.

that night was tyson's graduation.
saturday we went down to utah to go with tyson through the temple.
it had been awhile since me and eric had been through the
temple. it was soo nice being there with all the gillies family.
after the temple we all went out to eat at chuckarama.
it was a really good week with all the family.

week 34: 8 MONTHS!

oh this girl just pulls at my heart strings!

so it was another boring week here at the gillies house.

but our big news of the week 

was this little girl turned 8 Months old!

-8 Months of Madyn-

she babbles constantly, mainly saying dada and now papa... still no mama

she is getting so close to crawling! she gets on all fours then just sits back again.

although she isn't crawling, she is slightly mobile.

she scoots  very slowly on her tush and she constantly spins while she is sitting up.

she loves to swing! and walk around the park.

she plays peek-a-boo.

she loves breads.

and giggles while she eats her dinner

she loves when you help her walk.

little miss has the biggest smile that melts my heart daily.

we sure love that girl!

anyways other then that, we headed down to lyman on saturday.

anyways that is pretty much it for us this week.

week 33: nothing new

welp this week we finished off our swim classes.

i really enjoyed doing these with mads. she LOVES splashing

and the water doesn't phase her at all!

saturday we had easton's first birthday party at washington park and had fun.

other then that we pretty much just hung out all week and took it easy. 

one morning madyn was sleeping really funny so eric went to take a picture of her,

she woke up when he took the picture and this is what he got lol.

 part of mine and madyn's day is we watch the ellen show.

madyn is sooo funny to watch with. she always waves at the tv.

this week she really was into it and used one of her toys as a pillow when she snuggled down.

this girl seriously cracks me up...

this is her doing "the business" if you catch my drift...

poor girl.... but yet its sooo funny.

mads also got some good snuggle times in with her dad this week...

and snuggles led to madyn using his nose as a chew toy.

we love her!

and can't say it enough!!

mother's day

oh what a day it has been!

me and eric were up at 6, i was feeding mads and eric got called into work.

so we were able to have some quality time together before he had to leave.

after he left i was able to facetime with jamie and mom.

my heart completely melted when i was talking to my mom and abby was 

waking up and she sweetly told me happy mothers day.

i loved facetiming with my hysell girls.

maycie was a doll and kept saying I CANT SEE!

and little ryla bug kept pulling funny faces at me.

later me, brandy and the kiddos headed to church since the hubbies were working.

i enjoyed my meetings. they were honestly great.

for our primary class we decorated little 2 inch flower pots

and made pipe cleaner flowers.

they turned out sooo much cuter then i thought they would!

we came home to find eric had just gotten off work and had surprised me by

making me fett. alfredo!

we had mark, brandy, and easton over for lunch

and got to spend the afternoon enjoying each others company and 

watching the kiddos play together.

madyn thought easton was hilarious! it was cute.

we then spent the night talking to megan and skyping with the rest

of the gillies clan.

by the end of the night madyn was exhausted!

but my little turkey was fighting to go down so i stayed up with her for awhile.

my little girl that will NOT cuddle at all finally snuggled down

on my shoulder.

let me just tell you it was the perfect end to the perfect day!!!

i love her so much sometimes it makes my heart hurt!

she makes everything about being a mom worth it.

im also soo lucky to be blessed with such a wonderful mom.
i honestly dont know what i would do without her.
im so grateful for her and her example to me.
she learned from the best. cuz let me tell you im pretty sure grandma cliften
is the best around.
i also have one of the greatest mother in laws around.
im so grateful for her and how she raised my wonderful husband.
im also so grateful for my sisters and sister in laws that raise my sweet sweet babies.
they are some of the best mommas around!
i have been really blessed to be surrounded by such amazing women in my life.
talk about me being a lucky girl

week 32: the day to day

monday was a pretty chill day for us around the house.

it was sooo nice outside that we decided to 

go shoot some hoops and

mads also enjoyed reading her books!

tuesday and thursday we went to our swimming lessons!

after mads enjoys her bubble bath!

that girl LOVES the water!

she's my little fish

she also loves her toy grandma and grandpa gillies 

got her for christmas

that toy has been her go to toy the last little bit.

she is starting to wiggle her little body when any type of music comes on.

it's pretty cute!

she also LOVES the ipad!

saturday eric was flipping through the channels and stopped on wayne's world

and madyn was hooked! 

our week was pretty boring but this girl keeps 

me on my toes!

i love being with her all day!

week 31: BIRTHDAYS!

well Sunday we said goodbye to our company.

Tys, Tony and Carilyn took off pretty early and since

it was Stake Conference (which I consider a bye week) we took

the day off and decided to relax.

those are the best kind of days if you ask me.

the beginning of the week was a bit of a stress load around ol'

rainbow vista... but we are just going to avoid that topic of discussion...

Tuesday was my ryla bugs birthday!

look at how my little girl has grown!

she is the sweetest little girl and i love her to death!

Wednesday was my 24th birthday!

and it was a pretty lame day... Eric was CrAzY BUSY

with school stuff, so we really didn't do much.

but he did take me out to a delicious lunch at Corona Village 

and i spent most of the days in my sweat pants...

plus i got an AWESOME little, cordless vacuum.

so it was a pretty good day!

Thursday was little miss Locky Lou's birthday!

look how she has grown!

she is so full of spunk and sass. 

she makes me soo happy!

Saturday we headed down to Cheyenne to celebrate my birthday

since we couldn't do much together on my actual birthday.

we spent some time shopping, eating at Outback and playing mini golf.

we had a fun day being together!

i love my little family...

also, on a side note,  this week i learned that i need to be a little more careful

where i leave misses treats...

boy, this girl melts my heart.
