my little bubble of rexburg

there are many reasons why each and every tuesday

i go get the university newspaper "the scroll"

some of the reasons being

i like making fun of the ridiculous articles that would only be

seriously discussed on a mormon campus.

subjects being like...

Marriage, An Important Step in Life

Have Compassion, Show Others Kindness

Dishonesty, Harmful to Character and Life

Crosswalks Provide Safety

Capitalization Unnecessary in Speech and Writing.

(all of these are in the opinion section)

im not going to lie sometimes i really like how happy-go-lucky this campus is

but at the same time it can be so super annoying.

do we really need to have articles that are about

crosswalks, being kind and telling the truth?

arent these all topics that we have been taught when we were like 5?

reason numero dos

is because i LOVE reading the police log.

i know, it's a little odd isn't it

but sometimes it has the most ridiculous things in there

(which in all honestly makes me happy that i live in such a safe community)

but still i think it is pretty funny when these are priorities to be in the log.

so my question to you is a police log really necessary to have

in the little bubble of rexburg

especially in the university newspaper

where the biggest offenses include

a guy coming to class unshaven,

a girls skirt being a little bit above her knees

or some one's sandals being to close to resemble flip flops.

oh little rexburg i do love your innocence and ignorance to the world.

however, it can be really annoying :)

just a thought...

even though ignorance is considered bliss

sometimes it just makes you an idiot if you ever step outside of rexy
