22 Months! Pioneer Days.

sunday was little miss peyton's blessing.

bryan gave her such a sweet blessing and she looked beautiful in

her dress.

it was nice being around so much family.

poor dall and tys missed out :(

 

 

after we had lunch with the family at a park

then we took off right after.

we had a long road ahead of us.

but of course I had to get sick on the way home....

at least we had some stops along the way.

 cabelas, heber, the valley and then Rawlins.
madyn travelled so good till we were almost to Rawlins so we
stopped at their new Walmart.
madyn was soooo happy to finally get out of the car!
you could hear her jabbering and giggling walking down the aisles.
we got home about 10pm and went straight to bed.
we were exhausted!
Monday morning Madyn was SOOOO happy to be home.
she practically pulled out all her toys and books.
she was super happy all day long.
 Tuesday we had a meeting with the bishop.
I got called to be the first counselor in the young womens.
im pretty excited because I started feeling pretty burned out of primary.
every time I have been in a family ward since I graduated high school
I have taught primary.
im excited for this new little adventure.

Wednesday Madyn turned 22 Months!

 

22 Months of Madyn!!!

 

she is still trying to get those stinking canines to pop in!
3 out of 4.
slowly but surely.
she HATES getting her hair done and dressed in the mornings.
she loves to sing and dance to Let it Go.
she is pretty good at hitting those high notes too.
she is obsessed with her grandmas. and teasing her grandpas.
she absolutely adores mickey mouse.
 she is the bomb at singing Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam and Let it Go.
she does the actions to Book of Mormon Stories, Itsy Bitsy Spider,
Monkeys in a Tree, Monkeys on the Bed and lots of wiggle songs.
she is currently going through a puppy obsession.
she loves when Eric gets home from work.
she gets sooo excited!
her current movie obsession is probably tied between mickey mouse
and Madeline.
she still loves her baby dolls but is currently in a cars phase.
mads is definitely not a morning person.
she loves to eat waffles and Grandma Showell's breakfast casserole.
anytime she sees a deer, moose, elk or anything of the sort she quickly proclaims MOOSE!
that's probably my favorite word she says.
she is starting to call me mommy more instead of ky.
she loves playing with her cousins. especially the babies.
she is such her mom's girl. she hates messes. she will come get me and say MESS! MESS! MESS!
she's a cutie! we sure love her lots!

also on Wednesday madyn just tickled me pink!
I was doing my hair in the bathroom and she came in with my phone
insisting I turn on Let it Go.
so I grabbed it and tried turning it on but my phone was acting up.
mads started to throw a fit so I said madyn if you are going to throw a fit you need to go to
your room. she sniffled and said K and went right to her room.
sometimes it seriously kills me how fast she is growing up.
 Thursday we made a trek over to the valley.
When we got into town we went over to the gillieses and
the kiddos had a little swim party.

later that night was the Jr Rodeo for Pioneer Days.
Austyn rode the barrels in the rodeo and she did sooooo awesome!
I can't even explain how proud of her I was.
she is quite the cowgirl.

 

 

 

 

Friday we spent at the house helping mom make and deliver beans
for the Pioneer Days BBQ.
we also went to the Hysell girl's last day of swimming lessons.
they are such little fish!
I can't believe it!

I also ran to the shop to get a little book keeping done.
the Meeks' came over and had a little BBQ that night.
madyn loved rough housing with payson.
and she really loves that little lady bug!

Saturday was the big shindig of the valley.
we went and watched the parade
over at the shop.
Mark's family and Melissa's family came
to the shop too.

then we headed over the BBQ.
it was sooo hot!
and all madyn wanted to do was SWING!!!
so we played on the playground for a bit.

it was another good week in the books!
we sure love hanging out and being with our families.

sunday was an exceptional day at church.

it is such a relief when madyn just walks into nursery and is happy.

we had dinner at mark and brandy's house.

 then while the boys went to curt gowdy and we took the kiddos to the park

to play. we spent a couple of hours waiting for the boys to get back.

the kids had a good time together.

madyn started singing Sunbeam! Sunbeam! Sunbeam!

talk about melting my heart!

I am glad she is learning something from nursery.
Monday we spent most of our day cleaning the house, getting it
ready for our hiatus from Laramie.
Tuesday we headed off to Lyman
I was so grateful that Mark and Brandy let me ride along with
them so me and eric wouldn't have 2 vehicles down in the valley.
it was also prep day for my colonoscopy.
so im guessing you can imagine how LONG my day was.
the prep this time made me SUPER nauseous and sick to my stomach...
it was really frustrating too because when I thought I was done and cleaned out,
a little while later I wasn't again.
it was just so much more different then any other time that
I prepped for a colonoscopy.
the next day, everything was still really off with my body,
so I called down to see what I needed to do....
turned out that I had to drink the nasty NASTY nasty drink
they used to make you drink to prep that I basically REFUSE any type of encounter with.
trust me... it was a long morning....
as I was getting all hooked up and meds getting pumped in me,
I thought of eric's little joke about them seeing a lot of assholes there.
and then I was OUT!
next thing I knew I was waking up listening to a couple nurses
outside the door saying "right as she was going out she said- so I bet you get
a lot of assholes in here...." and they just started laughing....
the nurse walked in and I said I said that?
and she said yeah... I was pretty mortified. lol
we spent the rest of the day running errands and getting a little shopping done.
it was a pretty good day considering...
that's 5 colonoscopies down... and im sure im not even close to being done.
Thursday morning I had an infusion.
I was soooo exhausted!
can you imagine the day before going to bed at 11:30 and waking up at 3...
prepping is not fun business.
then being sedated and having all that in your system,
and then waking up bright and early to have an infusion....
which those just wipe me out anyways!
but it went smoothly which was a HUGE blessing.
Eric got into town about 1.
we had lunch and then headed off to Heber.
eric had to stop at Sportman's Warehouse and I wanted to see Micah.
She was working at the farmers market.
after all that we headed off to Lehi, where Bryan and Megan live.
 Friday the boys headed off to their 3D archery shoot.
us girls and kids hung out around the house and then went to the outlets
to walk around.
it was a nice relaxing day.
Saturday I ended up going down to Heber.
I had a nice day with Micah Casey and the kiddos.
later that night Melissa made it up to Lehi.
we all went out to eat and then headed to the park
to let the kiddos run out some energy.
that night the cousins all had a bath together.

it was such a good week being with so much family.
I sure love them all lots!!!



rain, rain, rain.

let me tell you sunday was miserable.

madyn was a little turd!

she was soooo grumpy!

I sure wish those teeth would come in all the way

already!

Monday we spent a lot of the time cleaning the house.

we couldn't really go outside because it was stinking raining like crazy.

I seriously love the rain now that we have a lawn we have to water.

when madyn went to sleep I spent my time finishing up

madyn's doll house.

I love how it turned out!

 

Tuesday it rained rained rained.

I seriously have never appreciated rain like I should....

I love not having to water my lawn!

but poor madyn is soooo cooped up in the house.

she wants to get out sooo bad.

so we had mark, brandy and east over for dinner and some play time.

but the little stink was pretty emotional.

teeth! come in all the way already!

she is going to have some pointy canines, I can already tell!

Wednesday was really rainy too.

but the evening it decided to finally stop.

so we were able to go to the park for a bit.

I think it does the girl good to get out and run.

 Thursday we had a good thunderstorm.

I was actually pretty surprised because some of the thunder

was super loud and long...

and madyn didn't even flinch.

we were watching mickey mouse and snuggling when it was all going on,

and a big one went off and she just so clamly said, whoa.

it was so cute and funny... and probably a 'you had to be there moment'

eric got off work fairly early so we walked over to Undine Park to the Farmer's Market.

it was pretty lame and not a lot of venders.

we then had dinner and went over to the rodeo.

 

 

it was a really good one and fairly fast paced.

it was a bull ride only rodeo, so we got to pass up on all the boring stuff.

madyn was really good and thankfully the seats are covers because it rained on and off.

all in all we had a good time!

 Saturday we had a nice little get away to Cheyenne.

my ring was back from being resized and eric had to pick up his bow.

madyn didn't sleep all day but she was such a champ!

very good considering how tired she was...

can I just say my little doll is such a ham!

I sure love her to pieces.

 

 

she is a goober and I love every minute of her silliness.

also this week our lilies started to bloom.

they are soooo unique!

 

 

my phone gives it a funny color cast.

the petals really look black.

it's definitely not what I expected. but I kinda like them!

all in all it was another good week in the books!

4th of July

soooo sunday at church
we were sitting in sacrament meeting and
it was time for the closing prayer
and a bald man about my dad's build went up to say the prayer.
madyn looked at him while he was praying madyn
got all excited and started yelling POP POP!!! POP POP!!!!
it was seriously the cutest thing.
monday I was sitting in the living room working
on my computer and I ate the last piece of licorice out of the bag.
next thing I know Madyn grabs it, and starts pulling me into the kitchen.
she walks over to the lid, gives me the wrapper and points to the trash.
so I throw it in. She looks at me, smiles and then claps.
I guess since we usually make Madyn throw things away she thinks we don’t know how….
Tuesday eric got a phone call on his work phone early in the morning.... 6:30.....
it woke up madyn.... so she was pretty cranky....
after a couple of hours of dealing with her cranky little self I put her back to bed....
when she woke up again, she was SOOOO happy!
so we decided to take a little date to the outdoor swimming pool.
madyn LOVES the water!
it was so fun just relaxing and being with her.
Wednesday we had a play date at the park with our ward.
Brandy and Easton joined us there...
I love watching these two and their friendship evolve.
it was a hot hot day and we thought the kiddos wanted to play in the
splash pad so we stripped them down...
well turns out that they would just chase each other and
not play in the water lol....

later that night we babysat Easton for a little bit.
they really are so silly together.
I cant get enough of them.
Thursday we went out together for book babies.
I love being with my little stinker!
but my little stinker is kinda cranky lately.
she is getting 3 new teeth in, so it has been a little rough around here.
Friday eric had to work even though the 4th was being observed.
he got home fairly early so we worked on pulling weeds in our front yard.
our neighbor that we share a fence with on that side is never around, so
he saw us and said he would pay us if he took down all the weeds on that
had grown along the fence.
we spent a couple of hours doing that.
it looks soooo much better now!
that night we went out to eat at the Chuckwagon.
we always heard it was really good but have never gone over that way.
after we ate we went and played at a park.

Saturday we got up and going and
decided to head to the snowys and go fishing.
we expected it to be busy since it was the forth of July but
OMG it was CRAZY!!!!! I couldn't believe how crazy it was up there!
we drove around most of the afternoon looking for somewhere to go.
so after awhile we decided we would go up to sand lake.
we figured it wouldn't be as busy since its out of the way.
but it was still pretty packed.
we had a little picnic and then headed over to the lake.
we sat down and eric did about 5 casts and it started lightening and thundering.
so that pretty much killed our trip.
madyn had fun though.
she kept going on and on and on about fish! fish! fish!

that night we went and bought some poppers.
madyn LOVED them.
seeing how excited she got over just the poppers made
me super excited to watch fireworks.
we went to our very first apartment and laid
out on the lawn to watch them.
every once in awhile one would go off before the real show began.
so we would point and yell LOOK! LOOK!
so  every time madyn would hear a boom, madyn would point to the
sky and yell look look!
when the real show started she just watched in awww.
every once in awhile she would say Woah! Woah! Woah!
or BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
as soon as we got back into the car she was out!
it was a pretty good week
and a great independence day!
