about 5 years ago a boy went to work for my dad.

his name was tanner

tanner became a big part of our family.

he was like an older brother to me.

tanner died about three years ago and

i think about him all the time.

he made a big impact on my life.



if there is one thing i could change about my life it would be that i said goodbye to him.

the day before he died i had the feeling all day to call him

but i didnt.....

seriously one of the biggest regrets of my life.

so now one of my goals in life is to make sure that if i have the chance to tell someone that

i love them or am grateful for them i will do it.

the one thing i absoluelty hate about death

is that it is so final.

it happens quick and when it does that's it

you cant change anything about it

but for today i am writing a post about him to wish him a happy birthday

i hope he is happy in heaven.

i hope he is eating cake and icecream like there is no tomorrow

and i hope he knows how much i miss him and love him.

Tanner wrote this and it was posted at his funeral

it is now one of my favorite quotes.

"I believe that your decisions and actions as well as others' determine your life.

I also think that change is not always great or bad but you need it to do it for the experience.

You need to change yourself for the better.

You can't go through life saying,

'This is the way I am and I'm not going to change because you don't like it,'

everyone can better themselves."

just a thought.......

tell someone that you havent told in awhile that you love them,

you never know when you wont be able to do again.

or take tanner's advice to heart
