23 Months!



sunday was my first time teaching in young women's, i think it went ok.

I hope anyways. it was on the church's standards of dating, and

I don't think im the best example of this topic.

but I think it was ok.

Monday of course all madyn wanted to do was "Swimming!"

I spent a lot of my time getting pictures edited and the house all cleaned up.
I also had to run up to the hospital to get some lab work done.
madyn seriously LOVES the lab ladies!
they spoil her with stickers, so I can see why.
she had to take her baby, cell phone, purse and a necklace...
we were both in sweats so she looked pretty decked out.
when they poked me to draw blood madyn just looked shocked!
then she started blowing me kisses... I think she felt bad for me.
it was pretty sweet.
she was in a super good mood.
she smiled and giggled and said hi to everyone we came into contact with.
while we were waiting I tried tightening one of her earrings....
well she did not like that at all!
so she looked at me and said "NO! You nice!"
then started rubbing her face like we do to her to show her
how to be soft.
 I was also able to finish up the Schaffner family pictures.
I absolutely love how they turned out!
I had fun playing with some different coloring and adding some texture.
this was definitely one of my most favorite sessions to date.

later that night we were just hanging out
and madyn loves when eric dumps out all her stuffed animals
out on her.
she seriously thinks it hilarious.

 



Tuesday we went swimming with Easton and brandy.

she sure missed him lots!

she was soooo excited once we got to the rec center.

she skipped in saying swim swim swim!

later that day.

Madyn was listening to the song When Will My Life Begin off of Tangled.

The lyrics go -Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts, and baking,

paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess.

Madyn was singing parts of the song and

when it goes “and chess” she sung “and CHURCH!”

seriously, I know I say this all the time, but she really does constantly

crack me up!
Thursday I was trying to get the house deep cleaned
so that means madyn has pretty much pulls out all her toys...
I honestly don't mind cuz then she stays out of my hair while I clean.
I walked into the living room and little miss proudly
proclaims "Hat!"

she sure has a big imagination.
I wish I would have gotten more pictures of her throughout the
day. she was playing with her towels and wrapping
her self up like she was wearing a dress and dancing around everywhere.
later that night mark brandy and Easton came over.
those two just played and played.
they have so much fun together.
madyn sure has missed him.
Friday we went up to the mountains with jake and Brittney
and had tin foil dinners.
madyn doesn't like Jake at all.... except for when it gets dark.
it's pretty funny.
as soon as it gets dark she just starts talking his ear off.
we also tried really hard to teach her Brittney's name....
and she would always say back "princess"

 

Saturday we took a last minute trip to Denver to take Madyn to the Children's Museum.
it was a pure day from hell.
Madyn was a nightmare!!!!
she screamed all the way to Fort Collins.
we stopped and ate at Red Robin and she seemed to calm down
for a little bit.
we had contemplated staying in foco since she was sooo cranky
but since she calmed down we decided to
trek onto our original plans.
about 15 minutes back into our expedition she started freaking out again...
then to make matters worse I got super sick in stand still traffic.
once we got to the museum
madyn's spirts seemed to turn around.

she sure was thinking she was hot stuff!

we made a butterfly out of recyclable materials.

 

so after closing time we headed back home.

we stopped at a few stores.

and had to bolt right out because madyn

starting screaming and throwing another tantrum.

and that pretty much lasted the whole ride home...

it was a long day.... to say the least!



also on Saturday Madyn turned 23 Months!

 

 

23 Months of Madyn!!!

she is big into "WHY?!?" everything is asked with a why.

she is absolutely obsessed with swimming!

she loves mickey mouse clubhouse. especially daisy and mini.

she has most of the family's names down.
she constantly asks for East. Rylee. Pop pop. Mimi. Micah. and Maycie!

she LOVES her cousins!

she has most of her animal noises and actions down.

she loves chocolate milk!

she is sooo close to counting 1-10. she struggles with 1, 4 and 8.

her current phrase she uses most right now is "thanks so much!"

she also uses the term of endearment "honey" a lot.

she is such a little mommy. she takes the sweetest care of her dolls and toys.
but she loves to play with her cars and trucks too.

she is officially off the bink. nights are great but naps are still a little rough.

she loves to jump on the bed and dance.

she is obsessed with my dusting cloths. either wearing them on her

head, helping dust, or using them as a blanket for her dolls.

she loves mac and cheese and waffles.

she loves to color.

 she loves to sing- and she's actually pretty good at singing most songs,
when she doesn't know the lyrics she just starts to hum or la la la along.
she loves when eric dumps all her stuffed animals on her.
she thinks it hilarious.
 

 we sure love our girl!
