just keep swimming...

let me just brag a bit about how awesome of a husband I have.
I woke up to the most delicious breakfast in bed
and hearing madyn also up, changed and eating.
then as I am getting ready for church he preps for our lunch
which he prepared and made all on his own.
we tried a new dutch oven recipe this go round- honey chicken and new potatoes.
it was super DELICIOUS!
seriously sooooo good!
what a lucky girl I am huh?!?
it was my first sunday in Young Women's and let me tell you
I was totally out of my comfort zone.
a lot of things have changed since I was in as a young woman.
it was also eric's last week teaching the sunbeams.
he is getting moved back to the valiant 11 class... truthfully... idk which is worse for him.
and madyn had a wonderful day in nursery,
so all in all I think it was a pretty successful day in church.
madyn played in her swimming pool again.

she is seriously such a little fish!
she LOVES the water and splashing.
this week we are officially getting off the bink for good!
we were just on a nap/ bedtime schedule...
or lets be honest, if she was teething- any time I needed a little peace around the house.
my goal for my kids is once they have all there teeth in (not counting molars) they are done.
since mad's 4th canine is finally poked through she is officially done!
please wish me luck for the next few days...
it may be a little rough.
Monday all madyn wanted to do was "SWIMMING!"
that girl LOVES that little pool.
so far she has done really good without her bink
and we haven't had any issues...
knock on wood.
the hysell's stopped through on their way home
from new mexico.
we visited for a bit and went and got some icecream
before they hit the road again.
I sure love those little girls!
Tuesday I took madyn to the outdoor pool at the rec center.
I figured that It would probably be nice to swim in a warm pool then
a cold blow up pool.
she had soooo much fun!
she would jump and land on her bum, splash, kick,
and she would get in a push up position, have her legs float and walk around
on her hands it was so funny and cute.
sometimes it just hits me how grown up my little girl is.
I cant believe what a little person she is growing up to be.
when we got home I threw her in the bath.
as I was scrubbing her head and hair I must have gotten a little rambunctious
and she goes "Ouch!" so I told her sorry and she replied
"it's ok honey kylie"
seriously where does this girl come from!?!
I don't even know where she got that. I'm not even sure if I have
ever called her honey lol.
Wednesday was the first day this week that madyn didn't go swimming...
and it was the first struggle without the binkie!
i'm lucky that we have made it this far without a massive breakdown.
she just couldn't get to sleep and stay asleep....
but I figured nap times would be hard for awhile.
that night was my first young women's Wednesday get together.
this calling is still just sooo new to me and completely overwhelming.
Thursday I spent a lot of the day going to the houses that
I am going to start cleaning.
to be honest it has started giving me anxiety about leaving madyn.
not necessarily about leaving her, but her being good with a babysitter.
I mean she still struggles with nursery sometimes, I just don't want her to be a burden to
anyone. cuz I love that little bug to death and I wants those who watch
her to adore her as much as I adore her.
Friday me and little miss needed out of the house desperately!
so on a whim we went to Cheyenne.
madyn fell asleep on our way down and right when we were getting
into town she woke up and started blowing me kisses.
she seriously lights up my world!
we went to hobby lobby and as we were walking around she
just starts yelling- RYLEE! MAYCIE!!
someone please tell me where this little girl comes from!
we had a good day just walking around and being together.
Saturday we got up and going and madyn insisted on SWIMMING!
so we spent a good chunk of our morning playing outside.
that afternoon I took family pictures for the schaffner family.
they wanted to do a 1920s theme.
I thought they looked awesome!
I just hope their pictures turn out ok.
that afternoon eric went and shot shotguns with some of his friends.
then we went up to the mountains and made some dutch oven dinner.
we left to go to the mountains at 7 so we didn't get there till 8.
so by the time we got a fire going and dutch ovens in and cooking
it was after 10. then on top of that it started raining on us.
so me and mads went and sat in the car for a bit.
I was scared that she was going to get sick because she didn't want to
wear her sweater.
so in my attempts to get her to sleep I said can we say our prayers?
I look over at her and she is folding her baby dolls arms.
it was seriously the sweetest thing!
after it stopped raining we went back out and sat with everyone.
everyone was just talking and it went a little quiet and madyn pipes up
and said it's a BEAR! RAWRRR!!!!
she sure makes us laugh and we love her lots!
