sunday we got up and went to micah and casey's ward.
it was jett's primary program and he did awesome!!
after church we did their kids pictures I loved how they turned out!
and of course madyn had to join in
on the fun.
even though the girl HATES pictures!
after pictures we went over to grandma and grandpa cliften's
house for dinner.
madyn passed out on the couch and had a good long nap!
I was sooo happy because she hasn't had
a good nap since we left Laramie!
we spent most of the afternoon over at their house and visited.
once we got back over to micahs house
madyn dressed up and had a ball playing with her cousins!
that night madyn gave her first prayer ALL by herself.
beginning, middle, end and all.

Monday was crazy!
the weather was nuts!
it was a rough drive over to the U.
I had some appointments and lab work to get done before
I went in for surgery.
after surgery I felt AWFUL!
my tongue was all numb and I had a really hard time waking up.
me and mads slept the whole way home.
trying to eat when we got home was not fun.
the tip of my tongue was still numb and nothing tasted right.
tried soup, pudding, popsicles.... didn't taste good at all.
Tuesday was rough. but I ended up sleeping most of the day.
they put me on a liquid narcotic, taking it hurts soooo bad! it burns!
Wednesday my uvula was soooo swollen. like touching my tongue it's so swollen.
not to mention when I was waking up from surgery I think
I chomped on my numb tongue and now it's swollen and sore.
so I really struggled eating and drinking.
whenever I would swallow, it was like I was swallowing my uvula
and then choke a little and then it would go up my nose.
madyn also started to go through a funk.
not really sleeping through the night. and fevering like CRAZY!
Thursday afternoon me and carilyn finally took her into instacare thinking
that her earache from the week before maybe hadn't quite healed all the way.
turns out her ears were great but she tested positive for strep.
oh my... when it rains it pours.
Friday was rough again.
lets just say I live hell right now.
I honestly wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
my ears are starting to really ache now and im getting nervous about
loosing my scabs.
but soooo ready too! they are disgusting!!!
Saturday eric came into town! we were sooo excited!!!!
we sure missed him.
we went over to the gillies house and watched the byu - Utah game.
we were pretty happy that the utes won!
we had dinner and then the kids dressed up to do the nativity.
later the kids opened presented from grandma and grandpa.
madyn got dress up clothes so you know she was thrilled!
after that we were all EXHAUSTED!
it is going to be another long week of recovery then hopefully
everything will be all back to normal!
