our week with mom.

Sunday morning we got up and took some pictures of our sweet ty boy.

dad wanted one with a broncos hat on for their grandkid gallery wall

so I needed to get that done for him before they left back home.

after we all got ready we headed to Perkins to eat breakfast.

it was nice to get out of the house and enjoy each others company.

the Meeks family left after breakfast.

we headed back home and visited with the hysells and dad

till around 2 and then they ended up taking off as well. 

it was kind of hard to see everyone go.

I was just glad mom was still around. I wasn't ready to let her go yet.

(I think you could say that mads is a pretty proud sister.)

Monday morning we said goodbye to Carilyn and Tony.
they spent the day before in estes park with Tyson and Cortney.

since it was Memorial Day we decided to get out of the house and 

go for a little ride. 

we went up past centennial and into the snowys 

and then we decided to go the rest of the way into Saratoga.

we showed mom the hot springs and then went out to ice cream.

it was such a nice day to be out and about...

but it quickly turned cold and windy.

but we still had a pretty good rest of the night together.

Tuesday little mr had his first appointment with the pediatrician.

with Eric's new job and insurance we met with a different pediatrician

then we have seen previously with madyn since it was a cheaper option.

I was kind of sad that we were switching because I really love who we 

have taken madyn too...

but the transition ended up not being too bad because we 

were really happy with this new place and doctor.

there were a few concerns that we have had with his kidneys and other concerns 

with my medications and his vaccines and they followed up 

with both issues within 24 hours.

I love how much she adores him!

Wednesday we had a bit of a crazy afternoon.

me and Eric took madyn out to the park for a little alone time with her.

it was a bit of a crazy evening trying to get her ready

for class pictures for dance class.

she looked so cute all dolled up in her tutu and her hair curled.

Thursday we took off bright and early and headed to Fort Collins.

since Ty's kidneys were still dilated they wanted to run some test/ scans on him

and then the next week we would head to Denver to see a urologist.

They preformed a VCUG on him.

and he handled it like the champ that he is.

I wasn't really expecting to hear anything back from them but they did let us 

know that everything did look pretty good.

after our appointment we did some running and then went out to eat.

after our delicious lunch at cafe rio we headed over to the park

to let mads go play.

the park we went to was actually kind of awesome!

the playground was huge and it had a decent size splash pad.

and to top it all off the weather was perfect.

when we got home from Fort Collins mom very sweetly planted some flowers in 

my gardens up front. 

friday Eric went up to the mountains to go shed hunting

while me and mom did some things around the house and relaxed.

madyn had a dress rehearsal that night and I swear that lasted FOREVER!

right as I got there, Eric called and said that he was pretty sure the

transmission went out in the wrangler.

luckily mom was able to go out and pick him up...

but I swear that is the last thing we need right now.

Saturday was the big day for little miss!

she was soooo excited to go dance on the stage!

she did pretty good too... till about half way through and then she just

kind of stood there.

she was pretty proud of herself after.

and I was pretty proud of her too.

that evening we took madyn over to huck finn to go fishing.

it was free fishing day in Wyoming so it was a perfect day to go!

but honestly she really wasn't too into it.

the first one she reeled in, I don't think she realized that she actually

had one on her hook... as soon as it came up on the grass

she screamed and threw her pole.

and yes... we had to hold her there just to look at the stinking fish!

I tell you that little stink is something else.

by the end of the evening she was doing pretty well.

at least she would sit down long enough to fish a little bit.

and she really did do pretty good. 

the fish were biting like crazy...

well for Eric and madyn they were...

me, not so much!

it was a pretty great week with mom.

and we are super lucky to have mom help us out this week.
