throwin' it back!

im gonna throw it back to crazy/ fun/ hard/ trying/ hilarious time in my life.
my third semester at BYUI was a weird time in my life.
i struggled, it was the hardest semester i had.
but it was the best, and one that i would never forget.
i met two of my bestest friends.
miss chelsea schult and mr christoper david walker.
they were my saving grace.
chelsea was originally not supposed to be one of my roommates
she was put into our apartment as a last minute change.
and i believe with all my heart that was Heavenly Father sending me a tender mercy.
through her i met Chris and we all became inseparable.
(ready for picture overload? this was our semester)

today was the absolute best
BECAUSE i got to see these guys again!
we met up in fort collins and had lunch together.
it was the best!
chelsea is now a nurse in an nicu
chris is a return missionary and now attending school to become an industrial designer
and me all married with a kid!

my how things have changed within the past couple of years.
but one thing hasnt changed... i love these two with my whole heart.

just a thought...
some things don't change with time
im glad this friendship didn't

week 11: school is out!

it's official!
SCHOOL IS OUT!
SOOOO happy.
this week we took little miss mads into the doctor.
she has acid reflux and so they put her on some medicine,
already HUGE difference.
what a life saver that was!
they weighed her at this doctor appointment and she is over
11 pounds now.
can't believe my little girl is getting so much more bigger!
time sure is flying!

later this week,
we also went up to the mountains and got us a Christmas tree.
we had a fun day doing that and saw LOTS of animals!
but mainly elk...

i started on the very end and kept moving the camera over so none of the elk are
duplicated. that's just how many there actually were!
it was pretty cool.

then when we got out of the jeep to start walking to find a tree
we saw these prints in the snow.
(talk about creeping me out! ya know how much i hate cats!)

and here are some of the deer that we saw too!

eric found us a really great tree this year!
i was even ok that it wasn't a "charlie brown tree"
i like to have a little "character" in the trees that I pick out.
it is SO thick on the bottom, the top is a little bare
but i LOVE it

we had a lot of fun on our little adventure
and i had fun messing around with our camera

later that night we decorated our tree
while listening to some good ol denver bronco football.
life doesnt get much better!

saturday we went and bought a couch off of craig's list.
it's sooo nice having more room to sit!
now we just need some company to come and test it out!

welp we had a good week at the gillies house!
i love this time of year.
there is such a good feeling in the air!

just a thought...
hopefully those elk stick around for hunting season!!
eric is due for a nice big ol bull!!!
