20 Months!

 we had a good sunday.
it was eric's first sunday with me in sunbeams.
and it went pretty good.
we had a linger longer at church, im not going to lie,
I really loved not having to clean up sunday dinner at my house.
I think madyn has a little boyfriend.
there is a little boy in our ward named Spencer and she is soo cute with him.
she kept going up to him and grabbing his hand and wanting to play
with him.
when we were all finishing up she
ran over to him and hugged him.
it was seriously the cutest thing I have ever seen.
Monday we had a busy day running around.
but I just have to say I love my sweet little girl.
I had to wake her up from her nap to get an appointment,
and that is sooo hard on her, as it is for any child.
but she was just happy as can be.
she is such a blessing to me.
that night eric got home at an actually decent hour.
we were soooo thrilled!
we went to the park and enjoyed the swings.
it was so nice to have him home early!
Thursday it was ABSOLUTELY beautiful outside!
I went out to get some yard work done while mads played around the yard.
but she was a little restless, so we ended up going to
the park to play a little.
we had a fun morning together.
and then it got chilly....
but at least we had the morning.
that night I had a relief society meeting at the church.
I seriously LOVE this ward!
I love that there are people there that I haven't talked to yet
and they will come up to me and talk to me
and know me already by name.
it sure beats being in a ward that asks if you are a visitor
after being there a year.
Friday Madyn turned 20 months!

20 Months of Madyn!

this girl loves to talk, sing, dance and play like a crazy woman!
she loves being outside. our yard has been super fun for her to play in!
she is still obsessed with her movies. Lion King is the choice for this month.
Mickey Mouse is another current favorite.
she loves to wear her shoes.
she loves baby dolls and her kitchen toys.
she's really starting into the fit stage. she throws her head on the floor when she's upset.
she loves to Skype and Facetime.
she's also in a stage when she doesn't want to listen to you she covers or closes her eyes.
  she loves to listen and dance around to Let It Go.
she is a very picky eater! but loves cheese, crackers, rice chex and waffles.
she loves to play with her cousins and friend Spencer.
she hates getting dressed and her hair done in the mornings.
she is absolutely and utterly obsessed with Olaf.
she is a true daddy's girl.
whenever I laugh at something she will quickly turn to me and say "What?!?"
she also really likes to proclaim "I know!" whenever we tell her something.
she is pretty silly and we love her to death!
it was also Tony's birthday on Friday.

Saturday Tony came up for Easton's birthday party.
so we spent most of the day at mark and brandy's visiting until the party started.
little miss had lots of fun playing.

it was a great weekend.
we were all pretty happy to have Tony come down to Laramie for a visit.
another great week in the books!

mother's day!

sunday was mother's day!

we went to church and sat by grandma and grandpa gillies.

madyn wanted NOTHING to do with me!

in fact she just kicked me right out of my seat.

madyn struggled with church...

so it was a long day.

me and mom went and watched Austy give a talk in primary.

oh my heck I love that girl!

she did such a great job.
that girl is a cutie.
after we went over to the gillies house for Tyson's Skype call.
he looked good and happy.
I can't believe that he has been out almost a year now!
Monday we headed back to Laramie.
it was soooo good to be back home!
madyn was beyond THRILLED to see eric.
Tuesday we took a drive up to the Snowys.
it was a nice ride, we saw TONS of deer and elk.

 

the deer were still super ragged so I didn't get too camera happy.
well eric had a super bad migraine and I was exhausted!
so we headed home,
but it was a really nice drive.
Wednesday we got the house picked up
and everything back in order since we have been gone.
eric started back at work... so we miss him lots!
that night was pretty rough!
madyn has been waking up in the middle of the night
and struggling to get back to sleep.
I have a hard time letting her cry it out because I hate that she
wakes eric up and then he cant get back to sleep.
but I hate going to get her because I don't want her to get in the habit.
sooo that night I caved. but she was WIDE awake!
so we went out and made our bed on the couch and I decided to let her
watch Frozen... yeah that was a bad idea.
she had to get up and sing and dance to every song,
and on the parts she thought was funny she would yell
in my ears- KY! MOM! point, and giggle.
it was pretty cute and funny
but I was trying to go back to bed, so at that moment it really wasn't.
let's just say it was a LONG night...
 Thursday we babysat Easton while mark and brandy went to the movies.
those kiddos crack me up.
they went into madyns room and shut the door,
you could hear them giggling and playing together.
I went in to see how they were doing and madyn yells at me NO!
she pushed me right out the door and slammed it in my face lol.
I think it's a little too early for her to be embarrassed by me,
but hey what do I know!

Saturday we worked out in our yard,
and finally got some flowers to plant in our garden.
I love seeing our little place come together.
it's a pretty good place to call home:)
 later that day we pulled out the 'wubble'
that mom and dad got madyn for easter...
she was a little terrified of it at first
but then ended up LOVING IT!!!
and I have to admit- it was pretty fun!

 



home again home again

sooo the good news this week is that

eric got reassigned to the sunbeams and will now be my team teacher!

i'm pretty excited. I guess it will just suck when

we try and find a sub.

we also realized that eric can't take madyn to nursery...

it has to be me... lol way to make me feel good mads...

Monday my little stink was driving me a little nutty...

she woke up SCREAMING around 1 in the morning and would only settle down

if she was being held. I tried several times to get her to sleep and then put her

back down for bed. as soon as I would lay her down, she would freak out!

so me and mads slept on the couch together...

then she woke up around 6 and INSISTED to 'watch!'

so in desperate need for some sleep I put on a movie and tried to get back to bed.

it was a long night.

later that day...

I had tons to get done and miss mads was super needy!

so as soon as eric got home I bailed to do some grocery shopping.

while I was getting my errands ran, I got a phone call from eric saying that

they have had to go to every room in the house and madyn would ask

momma? momma? momma?

that completely melted my heart. and then I started to miss my little stink,

even though I had been itching to get out of the house

and had only been gone 10 minutes....

oh the joys of motherhood and how it affects you:)

Tuesday me and madyn headed off to the valley for the rest of the week.

as soon as we got into town, me and mom had haircuts.

after we went home and celebrated scottys birthday!

oh it was good to be back with the family.

Wednesday me and Jamie had lunch out in Urie with
mom, megan, rylee and abbers.
after we hung out at the school with mom and megan.
madyn had soooo much fun in the kindergarten room with megs.
megs kids had a butterfly farm in their room.
madyn went over to check it out and she was completely freaked out by them!
she squealed and ran away covering her eyes....
I can't lie, it was pretty funny.
before the kids left they let their butterflies go and fly away.
madyn I think kind of enjoyed that lol.

later that night we went and watched abby play some junior jazz.
she was fun to watch... and I embarrassed myself by how loud I was cheering...
but oh well.
I was proud, she even made a basket!

 Thursday was a pretty crazy day for me...
I had an infusion scheduled for 11 am with some new nurses...
well after 2 hours of poking and trying to get an iv or needle into my sucky veins...
they finally gave up...
so I headed to urgent care so that a more experienced nurse could get it in.
it really wasn't anyone's fault... my veins have really had it.
so about the time I should have been getting it all done, I was just getting started.
so since I was already in urie, I went out to see mom and megs.
they made me feel better, this medical stuff can really make me
feel down in the dumps. but I do realize that I am extremely lucky to have the health that I do.
when I was all finished up I ran over to the shop to get in some work that
I had promised dad.
after running around there like a mad woman I went to get mads from carilyn.
she graciously watched mads for me through my crazy day.
we had an eventful day...
definitely wasn't planning it to be so busy clear to the very end...
but was sure glad when it was over.
Friday we were up bright and early.
we got madyn off to tony and carilyn and then headed for Utah.
I had an appointment over at the U.
I was put on more meds and told that if in a month nothing has changed,
we will schedule another colonoscopy...
wasn't too thrilled about that, but I was feeling optimistic.
so let's pray for the best I guess.
after we finished up at the U.
we went and changed and then headed over to the SLC temple.
I have ALWAYS wanted to go to that temple
but we aren't really in SLC that often.
it was a great session and I was sooo happy that we were able to go.
I definitely don't get to the temple as much as I would like.

 

the craftsmanship on that temple inside and out just astonishes me
when you think about the pioneers building it.
we then had a few errands to run and then off to park city we went.
we met up with casey and micah and the kids.
we ate a café rio, a favorite of mine, and had a little shopping to get done.
after that we ran to heber to see grandma for mother's day.
I loved seeing them.
everytime I leave my grandma and grandpa I worry that it will be the last time
I see my 'grumpypa!'
he looked weak and yellow and very worn down...
i sure love that guy and i hate to see him like that.
im just lucky for every second i have with him and lucky that
i have him in my life.

we got home super late.
and let me tell ya.... we were all pretty exhausted!
Saturday me and carilyn were
busy setting up for tiffany's bridal shower.
everything turned out wonderful!
all in all
it was a pretty good week!



birthdays, birthdays, and more birthdays

another good week at church under the belt.

I think we got this nursery thing down to a T.

sunday night while we were skyping with tony and carilyn

little miss was SOO hyper.

I hope that means the little one is starting to feel better.

I love my little diva!

some days she is more then I can handle... but in a good way.

Monday morning I woke up to this pretty picture!

Mondays I try to get all my bedding and linens washed for the week.

Madyn is OBSESSED with our bed for some reason.

so after all the pillows and sheets were off she

played on the bed for a good hour or so.

oh, to be that easily entertained again.
Tuesday was crazy!
Madyn did not sleep AT ALL!
me and madyn ended up sleeping on the couch together...
it was a rough night.
we were pretty exhausted the rest of the day...
we were able to get some good naps in though.
later that evening we went for a walk over to the park,
madyn of course loved the swings!

also I just have to say, I really do love the sense of humor that my husband has.
we were walking into the park and the missionaries were
walking around passing out cards...
well they came up to us to talk, they must have not recognized us because they are our
ward missionaries...
they started talking to us and eric goes, I don't want to be a damn Mormon!
oh my heck I think they both were terrified.
eric started laughing and said just kidding we are Mormon...
yeah, they didn't think it was too funny.
poor boys had no idea what to do.
 Wednesday was soo nice, when eric had a break from school we went
to the park to shoot some hoopes... we were a little nervous
to see how mads would react to not going to the swings...
she LOVED running around on the court!
she's a silly girl.
after that we had to run over to the hospital to draw some
lab work. the lab ladies all love madyn...
it melts my heart:)
whenever I don't take her with me, they all ask about her.
 later that evening we walked over to a different park.... one that doesn't have swings lol.
and mads played for awhile. have I mentioned how beautiful our weather has been?!?

after we went home, ate and then watched Easton for a little bit.
madyn loves having kids to play with.
they literally ran circles around each other.
it was also Rylee's birthday on Wednesday. how is it possible that
girl is 7 already?!?
Thursday I turned 25!! woot woot!
mom and dad travelled to Laramie and surprised me for my birthday.
we went and ran some errands for them and did some shopping.
then when eric was done with classes we went out to eat at Chile's.
after we enjoyed the nice weather at the park and visited.
to my dismay they left that evening to go home.
we had planned to have a birthday dinner at Corona Village but since
we had such a big lunch we decided to save it for a weekend date.
so instead we went for  a walk and then over to Kmart and Hastings to look around.
I know it may sound silly... but when we are restless in Laramie that is
what we like to do.... walk around Kmart and Hastings.... lol.

madyn made herself comfortable while walking around hastings.

later that night we talked to some family and hung out.

me and mads fell asleep on the couch snuggling...
it was a great birthday!
I am the luckiest person in the world to have the best family and friends around!
Friday we got up and took madyn is for a checkup on her ears.
she has had a terrible time sleeping and is constantly plugging them...
Elizabeth is seriously the best and we are so lucky that she takes such good care of madyn.
madyn of course has to take her baby with us EVERYWHERE, so
to humor madyn Elizabeth checked the babies eyes, ears, mouth and nose.
madyn thought it was HILARIOUS!
she was belly laughing. it was pretty cute.
and the best news of all were that her ears look great!
what a relief!
I think little miss is just going through a needy stage.
which I really can't complain...
I love the snuggles!

after the doctor, me and mads headed over to Cheyenne to spend some
birthday money!
I had such a great day with my girl!
she was so happy and so good.
hobby lobby was a different story... but it always is.
for some reason she struggles in that store.
but it was a good day and ill take it!
it was also little Locklyn's birthday! boy that girl is a character.
she was so excited to tell me that she was three and not two anymore.
she's so cute and growing sooo fast!
Friday night me and eric watched the maze runner.
I loved it! very good movie.
we were also able to enjoy another beautiful Wyoming sunset!
seriously Wyoming is the best!

Saturday eric went to the university to work on a paper.
I worked on laundry... or tried too.....
madyn was soo silly that morning.
she just loved sitting in the hamper and she is obsessed with my makeup bag.
soooo she decided to wear it on her head.
oh my she is goofy!

after eric got home he mowed the yard....
boy I love the smell of fresh cut grass! isn't it the best?!?
we finished some errands and then had my birthday dinner at Corona Village.
I sure live the life don't I?
I'm pretty blessed!
