week 52: turning 1!

sunday we said our goodbyes and headed back to laramie.

it was a good trip, but it was good to get back home.
monday was madyn's birthday!!!

12 Months of Madyn!

madyn's favorite snacks are animal crackers and vegetable straws.

her favorite foods are rice and pastas.

she loves climbing stairs and into her stroller.

she will stop anything to watch robin hood or mickey mouse.

her top two teeth are FINALLY coming in.

she loves her books and her baby's first christmas bear, grandma/pa gillies got her.

she hates getting dressed in the morning and getting her diaper changed.

she can say mama, dada, HI!, and oh! (uh-oh).

she loves to clap, give kisses, high five, shaking her head no, and play peek-a-boo.

she loves stealing food from her mom and dad.

she loves playing in the bath tub and chewing on her wash cloths.

she loves playing with kids her age, especially her cousins.

she is obsessed with her grandmas and only wants them when they are around.

she loves talking on the phone especially with papa glade.

she mocks burping, coughing, and giggling.

she has the sweetest smile that melts our hearts each day.

we love her tons!!!

we had a pretty relaxed day.
i wanted to take her out and to the park and play
but the weather wasn't the greatest!
but we still had a good day together.
we ended up going to eat at Love Joys that night
...but lets be honest that was mainly for me and eric lol...

later this week we went out and took a little ride
up to rodger's canyon.
there were a few beautiful yellow aspens
so we took of few picts of our little stinky.
:) she warms my heart :)

saturday we were able to spend some time with eric
since the wrangler had a few issues...
but we were happy to be with him!

week 51: broncos, parties and photoshoots!

sunday morning we woke up, got dressed, and headed off to Denver.

we decided to go with mom, dad, gwen and don to the broncos game.

and we had a BLAST!

when we got there we were waiting in line to get some free t-shirts and 

all the sudden i hear the name steve atwater, my all time favorite bronco,

and low and behold 

i turn around and there he is!

it was AWESOME!

i met STEVE ATWATER!

we had a blast at the game.

it was way intense to the end!

mads was such a good lil' sport too!

she handled the crowds, noise and cheering like a champ!

she even fell asleep near the end of the third quarter and well into the forth.

after the game we stayed and got autographs.

we got shannon sharpes so that was pretty great too.

after we ate dinner we headed back to laramie.

it was a long treck home

but we had a blast!

monday when mom, dad, gwen and don were headed back to the valley

they stopped in for lunch so we were able to visit even longer. 

the rest of the week was pretty chill-laxed.

friday we headed off to the valley to have a big birthday bash 

for mad dog!

that night me and megs spent most of the time baking, chatting and getting ready.

and mads had fun being with easton :)

saturday was super stressful!

i had to get my infusion done first thing in the morning

then the rest of the day we spent getting ready for the party.

we did take a break for a little cake smash fun!

it was then time for the party.

and let me tell you we had DELICIOUS food

and the CUTEST decorations!

we had a 6 foot subway sandwich, turkey-ham-provolone and american cheese.

snickers salad, jamie's frito salad, pretzel-strawberry salad,

a relish trey, watermelon and chips.

for dessert we had cupcakes, cream puffs and peanut butter bars!

it was pretty yummy!

mad's was dolled up in her lace and pearls :)

and we had little cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents EVERYWHERE!

then to top it all off the little stink was SPOILED ROTTEN!

she made a haul!

and of course the cousins loved to help!

which was good because she wasnt exactly interested.

she just wanted to be in grandma's arms!

we had a good little day for madyn!

i cant believe i am going to have a 1 year old on my hands!

i can hardly believe it!
