week 39: 9 months!

Sunday little miss turned  NINE MONTHS!!

9 Months of Madyn!
weighing in 16 pounds 14 oz and 27 3/4 inches long.

she loves ritz crackers and her sippy cup.
she uses a straw like a champ.

she has developed major separation anxiety this past month, and is finally starting to get over it.
she isn't a big fan of being laid down for naps.
and will throw her binkie out of her mouth in protest!
(all honesty it really makes me mad. lol)
she has started weaning herself from her binkie which has been nice, so we don't have to. 

her hair is finally starting to grow. it's kind of funny she has random LONG strands.
she wiggles her cute little body when she hears music.
she scoots/crawls everywhere.
her favorite toys are her books... she LOVES books.
she is starting to pull herself up on everything.
she is clapping.
she loves splashing in water. and chomping on her washcloths.
when she jabbers on it sounds like she is saying tickle-tickle-tickle-tickle.
she has a slight obsession with socks.
she used to sit and pull my hair while she was nursing, she has now moved
on to fish hooking my lip... (personally im not a fan)
her most current little trick is she has figured how to sit up in her crib on her own.

so she ends up sleeping like this...

 

it's super hard to put her down for her naps during the day.

one day i went in and laid her down and she didnt fuss 

so i ducked down so she couldnt see me to pick up her toys and books.

i thought she is being so good about going down! 

when i was done picking up her toys 

(my back to her crib)

i turn around and she is sitting up staring at me and just starts laughing. 

we had a pretty chill week around here. 

i spent most of my time chasing around madyn.

shes pretty much into everything that she isn't supposed to be in. 

she's kind of a little turd cuz she knows what she shouldnt be in 

and when we go to grab her to stop her from going somewhere she isnt supposed to be 

she just goes faster and giggles SO hard. 

i was able to do some baking this week...

it helps cover up our neighbors cigarette smell that ventures over to our house...

im a little bitter about that...

i made some cinnamon rolls and a couple loafs of banana bread.

friday i finally found a dresser that i have been searching nonstop for!

ive been wanting to refurbish one to an entertainment center in our living room

so it would be a little more baby proof for mad dog.

im excited to get working on it!

hopefully i will be posting 'after' pictures soon!

yesterday we took a jeep ride up to centennial. 

we stopped at the old corral steak house and had some delicious bacon cheese burgers.

we then ventured off in the snowys and went all the way to Saratoga.

we stopped to see where the hot springs were and then went and ate some homemade icecream

at lollipops.

on our way home we saw TONS of wildlife.

we ended up seeing...

14 deer 11 were bucks.

5 moose. 2 were cows. 2 twin calves. 1 bull.

lots and lots of antelope.

a couple of rock chucks.

we had TONS of fun!

week 38: milestones, milestones, milestones...

we had a really nice father's day.

we had a delicious fettuccine alfredo dinner

and a great walk around the park together.

madyn loves walking around the park and she just giggles the whole time.
we are really lucky to have eric as a husband and dad.
he's pretty much amazing.

she kinda liked it

Monday me and little miss got a lot of errands done.

one of my appointments got rescheduled so me and little miss just
had a good day together.

Tuesday we went to the wading pool with brandy and easton.

madyn loved splashing around.

after they were done splashing we walked around the park a couple of times.

i had an appointment later that afternoon.

after my appointment me and madyn decided to do some exploring.

i have been looking for a dresser to refurnish

so i wanted to go to some thrift stores.

we headed over to Bart's Flea Market

and i know this sounds silly but i LOVED it.

they had some interesting stuff there and it was huge!

later that night me and Eric were in the kitchen and madyn was in our living room

playing with her toys.

next thing i know i walk into our living room and she is standing up 

against one of our couches.
we thought she was growing before... we are hitting milestones galore over here!

Wednesday we had another appointment to go to

and after we stopped by the second story book store and sweet

pickles to look around.

the whole time we were in sweet pickles she was buzzing her lips.

i know it's kind of silly but i think it's pretty hilarious when she does that.

she seriously tickles me!
that night when we laid her down for bed, she was struggling to go to sleep.
we were letting her cry it out and it was just not good.
she would NOT settle down!
i was watching her on the baby monitor and all the sudden she is
sitting up in her crib!
oh my heck... how is she getting so big so fast?!?!

Thursday me and mads had another crazy day of running errands
and staying busy.
little miss is seriously growing more and more and more each day.
she is starting to give up on baby food and is more into our table food each day.
our big new trick of the day is she started clapping.
it's pretty cute.
lately eric has been getting home around 7 which is SOOO nice.
madyn gets more time with her dad
which she LOVES!

we also got my new sleeping bag in the mail today....
it's pretty cool...

^yes we are that immature.

Friday we went to a Ty's baptism. 

It was a really nice baptism, the spirit was so strong.

after eric treated me and mads to a dinner at Love Joys.

she looks so cute all dressed up and in her pearls!

We had been planning on going to Curt Gowdy on Saturday to take a hike up
to Hidden Falls. Friday night Mark asked us if we wanted to go with them on the hike.
It was pretty funny that we all had the same plans.
So Saturday we headed up and had a nice little 5 mile hike.
It was really pretty.
Madyn handled the hike like a champ until close to the waterfall, she was really hungry.

on our way home, at the happy jack exit we saw a group of 10ish bull elk!
it was pretty cool.
we didnt get very good pictures because we spooked them.

we had a pretty good week!
and can't believe how much our girl is growing!
