Madyn is 17 Months!

Sunday Madyn turned 17 Months

17 Months of Madyn...

she says..... hi, bye, no, yes, yeah, uh-oh, momma, dad, kylie 

(yes she refers to me as kylie more then mom lol), 

cheese, shoes, baby, what, what's that, peek-a-boo, juice, thanks, yay, jeep, coat, nose,

door, go, and more and more everyday.
her most current is love you! and it seriously melts my heart!

she loves here cabbage patch doll and plays with it constantly.

she also loves rolling and throwing balls and playing with her cars. 

she loves watching movies, currently cinderalla. 

she loves pushing her shopping cart everywhere around the house.

she loves cereal and yogurt together and goldfish.

she has 6 top teeth and 4 bottom teeth 

and you can see where her  bottom molars are poking through.

she is sooo good at going down for naps and bedtime.

she still loves bath time and all her toys.

she loves playing with cell phones and knows how to turn on the camera,

then walks around holding it out and yelling cheese!

our new marco pollo game around the house is yelling oh toodles! (like in mickey mouse clubhouse)
and she responds TOODLES!!!!!
she can show you where her eyes, ears, mouth and nose are.
she loves to sit and look at the gillies year in reviews.
she loves to mimic all sorts of sounds, like eric's ringtone for when he gets a text.
she also mimics dogs when she sees them, panting and barking.
she loves to bear crawl.
she loves pretending anything is a phone and walks around constantly like she is talking on it.
she is obsessed with shoes!

eric had to do snow removal early sunday morning and since it was stake conference
i didn't feel like juggling madyn around.
especially since she HATES church right now.
so it was a lounge in the sweat pants and pjs sort of day.
i started sewing madyn's new bedding!
since i have been so exhausted i haven't felt up to it till now.

wednesday after doing my little morning routine....
i just couldn't get warmed up....
and then i realized that the furnace wasn't working.
after the maintenance person came over to our house we were told that we had to get a new one.
so it's space heaters for us for the next few days.
so the other day i bought mads another baby doll since she has been so into them lately.
well i didn't realize if you squeezed it, it makes sounds.....
it alternates from a cry to a laugh....
so when it laughs, madyn lets out a hysterical laugh.
and when it cries, madyn squeals AH AH AH!
i think it's pretty funny.
but she does take really good care of her baby dolls.

later wednesday night we went and had dinner with Jake and Brittney.
it was sooo good!
we then played some card games and then went and watched some
cowboy basketball.
it was a pretty fun night.
saturday we finally got our new furnace installed!
it is sooo much more quieter then our old one.
it's pretty nice!
that afternoon we ran to fort Collins to buy a new computer.
my old one was barely turning on... it was time.
we then we to target and ate at red robin!
always a favorite!
it was a pretty good week......

exhausted....

sunday we got up and going so we could head over to church.

me and eric had to speak in sacrament meeting about prayer,

so mom and dad stayed for church so they could sit with madyn while we talked.

they left right after sacrament meeting.

it was madyn's first time in nursery.

and she didn't handle it very well.....

hopefully it will get better..... hopefully.....

when we got home from church all of us were super exhausted!

we slept our day away.
monday and tuesday we slept our day away again.
i seriously don't know what is up but i have a massive headache and
im exhausted constantly!
tuesday i did manage to put on some make up and we went and watched eric
play city league basketball.
it was nice to get out of the house but it seriously killed me.
the big task this week is weaning madyn from her binkie.
we were doing it so she only had it during naps and bedtime and then at church
or other outings if necessary.
but over time it would be out and she would grab it and i wouldn't think too much of it
and just let her have it.
the goal of completely breaking her from it has been 18 months...
but now since she can go to nursery early 

i definitely don't want her being dependent on it. soooo the struggle is real at our house.
wednesday i was starting to kind of feel like i was getting some energy so even though
i had a massive headache i wanted to get out of the house.
so we tried swimming again with madyn.
and this time she LOVED it. i think she was just getting sick the last time
and that's why she wasn't so into it.
she loved slashing and running around.
she was pretty funny.
thursday we ran some errands around town and got a lot done.
there were some things i wanted to go to that night but i wasn't feeling so good again.
that night we found out that little miss is a taylor swift fan...
blank space came on the radio and eric switched it and she flipped...
so he turned it back and she was happy.
he found going back and forth was very amusing...
until the song was over and she wasn't too happy.
friday was my first time in FOREVER that i didn't need to take a nap!
i felt very accomplished. seriously, whatever crud i had took it all out of me!
that night me and eric and mads had a date over at corona village.
always a favorite!
saturday the snow started to fall.
eric had a lot to do so my and mads lounged around for the day.
she is so funny, she is seriously getting so big and learning so many new things each day.
i LOVE it!

Valentine's Day!

welp little miss is sick.

poor little girl has a fever, cough and is super horse.

sunday carilyn and tony were passing through on their way to Cheyenne.

tony had meeting all this week.

we went out to applebees for lunch and had a good visit.

monday brandy, easton, madyn, and i went to

Cheyenne to spend the day with Carilyn.

Madyn seemed to be doing somewhat better, at least she was done fevering.

we spent the day shopping and went out to Olive Garden for dinner.

we had a good day hanging out with grandma!

but by the time we were ready to head home madyn had enough.

poor girl was so tired, i think it all hit her at once.

tuesday i had a crazy day running around and getting errands done.
that night we had a meeting with the bishop.
eric got called to serve in the primary...
since we will both be in primary with callings we got special permission
to put madyn in nursery early.
wednesday we got to visit with tony and carilyn for a little bit before they headed back
to the valley.
thursday i was hit with the bug and HARD! this crud is NASTY.
friday i was feeling a little better but still kinda under the weather.
but i was able to get the house cleaned and some other stuff done around the house.
saturday was VALENTINES DAY!!!
me and eric got tickets to see the tenderloins in denver and have a fun little get away.
madyn got some clothes, a shopping cart, and Madeline.
I used to love that show growing up.
mom and dad showed up later that morning.
we went to the brown and gold store and the bookstore.
then we headed over to the library for lunch.
after lunch the boys went on a jeep ride and while mads went down for a nap.
we then went to the uw basketball game
and then headed over to cheyenne for dinner at the Outback.
it was a fun valentines day with the family:)

baby laityn!

to start out our week eric had to wake up bright and early 

for snow removal. that morning once he got back we went to get up 

madyn and she had thrown up in her sleep..... 

so eric and mads stayed home from church to rest up a bit.

which was probably a good thing 

because the heaters at our church were broken and it was SUPER COLD!!!
...but i have the cutest/ sweetest/ funniest story...
i was sitting with my little sunbeams and it's really not going  so great...
they are freaking out and not sitting still... and oh my it was crazy...
when all the sudden one of the SWEETEST little boys that you will ever meet taps
me on the shoulder and says "you are very beautiful!"
oh my heck, talk about melting my heart!

after church we had a little super bowl shin dig with some of our friends.

madyn was feeling lots better thank heavens!

man i love her!!!

monday i was completely exhausted!!!

seriously i don't mean to complain but the crohn's is about ready

it officially kick my butt.

it has been super hard on me lately.

later that night we went over to the anderson's house to celebrate

brittany's birthday.

it was a fun night eating yummy brownies and playing games.
tuesday eric had a city league basketball game
and my oh my
little mads what a little stink!
but we had a good night being together.
i love being out and about with my little fam:)
they make me happy!

wednesday we went and watched the border war.
it was a really good game.
when they were announcing the cowboys madyn was
sure clapping, yelling and getting into all the action.
I'm serious when i say how much that little stink tickles me!
i love seeing her develop into such a little person so full of personality.
friday we found out that our little niece laityn was on her way!
some times it totally sucks being so far away from your family.
she is the cutest little stink!
8 lbs 2 oz and 21 3/4 in tall.
I'm soooo in love!!!!

call me crazy but i can totally see some austyn in her...

later that night we took madyn swimming.
in the past she has loved to swim and splash but she was very timid
this go round.
when we got home we threw her in the bath and she was much more happy.
and then she was out! until 11:30 the next morning.
poor girl was TIRED!
i don't think she really felt all that great.
she was a smidge warm and a little horse and definitely not her usual self.
but we decided that we needed to get out of the house.
so we went on a little ride up to cybil canyon.
we saw some elk, antelope, deer and buffalo.
another great week in the books at the ol gillies house!!!

terrible twos???

oh man.... lets start out this week talking about church....

madyn is a BEAR right now!

poor eric, i think he is soooo ready for her to head to nursery.

monday classes started for eric 

and me and mads headed to the valley.

we had fun going around and seeing everyone.

tuesday me, mads and jamie went

over to the elementary and had lunch with megan and mom.

madyn was soooo funny she loved all the little chairs and tables and 

totally seemed right in her element!

later we watched maycie may while james took ry

to the dentist.

so we took some pictures of her...

she is seriously the cutest!!!! and of course has the most attitude!

she wanted to take pictures and get all dolled up

right up until it was actual time to change and take pictures....

i had to bribe her with ice-cream lol.

we had such a great night all together.

we ate crazy 8s and just hung around and talked.

also some exciting news i found out that i am going to be an

aunt again!!! 

WOOOHOOO

so excited for bryan and megan!

i love my family sooo much! 

we seriously have the best time together!!!

wednesday we were up bright and early to head down to 

utah for my doctors appointment.

madyn didn't sleep the whole way down which is probably one of the

reasons we had such a loooong day!

the appointment went pretty good.

more meds, vaccines, blood work and appointments....

oh man...... I'm not even go and say how frustrated i am with all this.

so moving on.

after all that we headed to target!!!!!

awww mini christmas for me!!!

have i ever mentioned before how much i ADORE target!?!?

we then went and had a WONDERFUL lunch at Olive Garden,

met up with micah and the kids

and did a little shopping.

all mixed in with a lot of fits from missy may madyn!

seriously i can't believe how much of a turd she is right now!!!

once we got home we went around to everyone to say our goodbyes.

thursday we ran some quick errands and then headed back to laramie...

you guessed it... all intermingled with lots of fits....

she was soooo excited to see eric when we got home!!!

we went and watched him play basketball and was just sooo happy to be home.

saturday we went and watched the pokes play nevada!
love those uw basketball games!!!
