the usual.

to say our week was pretty lame.... well is a major understatement.

not a whole lot is new around this gillies household.

we had the same ol errands and things to do throughout the week.

dance class. grocery shopping. young womens. visiting teaching.

the usual.

we were able to get out and go to the park one afternoon after school.

it's still pretty chilly out- but a lot warmer then it has been!

mads was thrilled to get out and about.

when we got home we were going to throw mads in the tub to help her warm

up and thaw out...

man, lets just say... sometimes being a toddler and getting undressed can be hard!

lol!

friday i needed to get out of the house.

and was itching to do some shopping.

so me and mads had an outing over to cheyenne to get some more

baby clothes for ty.

madyn has become such a fun little sidekick to have around.

she really has matured the last little bit.

fits seem to be more minamal. shes wanting to walk more so this preggo doesnt have to

carry her around everywhere. she compromises nicely.

and just a pleasant little girl.

my favorite part on our trips together is when we go to chick-fil-et to eat

and she makes friends with whoever is playing in the slide room.

i love that she makes friends so easy and she is so accepting of everyone. 

she does a lot of things that i can see me coming out in her, but her outgoing personality 

is definitely not from me.

and i love it :)

saturday we went and hit up the big sale going on at murdochs

and got to show mads the baby chicks.

she really liked them this year.

after doing some running we hurried and came home, had lunch, then headed

to the AA to the cowboys last basketball game.

it was pretty bittersweet knowing this was eric's last game as a student.

and who even knows if we will still be in laramie the next few months.

at the game mads started getting diarrhea... i felt so bad for our girl.

hopefully this year in preschool will get her immune system all built up and 

she will hopefully be a lot more healthier this coming year.

still working on my 365 project....

this is getting a lot harder fining stuff around the house to take pictures of.

i am in definite need of some warm weather to get out and explore more things to take pictures of.

because honestly i spend WAY too much time watching this stinking giraffe.

i cant tell whether my obsession comes from my giraffe obsessed daughter....

or because i can totally relate to that big belly and seeing those kicks!

up all night

our week started off really rough...

about an hour after we all headed to bed madyn woke up just bawling

she cried nonstop till about 3 or 4 in the morning.

at first we were thinking that she just had a bad dream because 

she wouldnt tell us what was wrong.

by about midnight we finally figured out that it was because her ear was in pain.

so between her crying, my neck, her kicking us in her sleep, 

and being completely exhausted it was a pretty miserable night.

when we all woke up in the morning we trekked on over to urgent care to

get that stinking ear looked at. 

while we were waiting for the PA to come in little miss threw up 

mucus and snot everywhere. 

talk about sending your stomach over the edge.

we went and got her prescription and headed back home to get some rest.

eric was seriously a lifesaver.

he was a trooper with her during the night, then being thrown up on at the doctor,

dealing with me and mads while we did some shopping and then

going home to make us all a delicious steak lunch.

we all just crashed after lunch.

i think we all had all we could take.

monday was presidents day so mads had the day off of school...

not like she has been going a lot anyways being sick.

we had a good day together, i love listening to her play and pretend.

tuesday little miss headed back to school.

she was thrilled to be back with all her friends.

by the time i went back and picked her up she wasnt ready to head home.

she was certain that she wanted to stay.

i could tell she was pretty tired but we had a few errands to run.

i went back and had a chiropractor appointment

and by the time it was over i got a text from carilyn and tony saying that

they just made it into town.

madyn was ecstatic to see them- and boy let me tell you it sure hyped her up.

they were able to hang out at the house for a few hours and visit.

around 5 when eric got home madyn just crawled up in his lap and fell fast asleep. 

poor girl was exhausted.

it was a pretty low key rest of the week until friday. 

 tony and carilyn came back through that afternoon and stayed with us that night.

madyn was so excited for them to be here with us.

she had us playing all sorts of games with her.

we visited till late in the night.

when we got up saturday we headed over to perkins to have breakfast

with tyson, courtney and travis.

after breakfast they took off back home. 

madyn was soooo sad to see them leave. 

with staying up and visiting late at night me and eric were both 

just beat so we fell asleep right when we got back.

that afternoon we went and watched the cowboys play some basketball.

we had a good afternoon and evening together. 

this week i also started a 365 day photography project. 

i was challenged to do that so i could keep up on the skills that i learned at

my photography class last week.

so my goal is to get 365 pictures with no editing.

the only real hard part right now is trying to find things to take pictures of 

around the house since it is so freezing out right now.

valentine's day

monday was a BEAUTIFUL day!
after mads got home from preschool we went on a walk and she
played outside on her little slide.
eric got home a little earlier then expected so we all went over to washington park
to play for a little bit.
that evening tys and his girlfriend came over to have some cheesecake for
his birthday then day before.

tuesday was valentine's day!

and as goofy as it sounds i absolutely LOVE valentine's day.
i love giving gifts and all the happiness in the air.
madyn had an awful night sleeping so with her cold kicking back into high gear
we decided to keep her home.

she loved opening her valentine gifts and taking it easy the rest of the day.

that evening the cowboys had a basketball game

so you guessed it- me and eric had a hot date at the AA.

it was a pretty rough game to watch...

i kinda even thought by the end they might pull it through.

yeah... they didnt.

poor little miss- by the end of the first half she had it.

and you could tell that she was starting to get a bit of a fever.

wednesday when she woke up she was all perked up ready to go back to school.

but with her fever and the cold that she has had i was certain 

that she must have an earache.

it was classic madyn signals.

so that morning we went into the doctor.

and low and behold her ears were fine... the doc said that her throat

looked awful so they checked her for strep but that came back negative too.

so we are just stuck with a nasty virus and trying to get over it.

so we went out for a little lunch date together at arbys :)

then for a walk and when eric got off of work we headed over

to the park and little miss got to ride her bike around.

seriously the weather has been super gorgeous lately.

it feels so nice getting out of the house for a few hours a day.

friday i woke up with the worst kinked neck that i have ever experienced!
it traveled down my neck to the bottom of my shoulder blade and up into my head
behind my ear and would make my hand go numb every once in awhile.
i had to have pinched a nerve and it was making me physically sick.
i had a parent teacher conference for mads that afternoon.
she is doing awesome at school. her teachers and her class all love her.
which is great because she adores all of them.
after i was able to schedule a chiropractor appointment to try and help my neck.
it definitely made a difference, but i was still pretty miserable.
so it was a pretty low key night at our house.
saturday i was up bright and early to get to a photography class that i signed up for.
my neck was a lot better but i was still pretty stiff and sore.
i had the best time at the workshop and learned a ton!
and madyn had the best day with her dad.
she told me about how the spent THREE HOURS at the park.
she was thrilled to have spent the day with him.
we ended the night all together watching a movie together.
i love those low key nights that we get to spend with each other.

super bowl sunday

sunday was big ol super bowl sunday.

meaning we had lots of yummy food and not enough stomach space to

eat all that we had.

and to top it all off it was gorgeous outside!

it was a pretty great day... despite the fact that im pretty sure i made it 

back to laramie with a bit of a cold...

monday i was busy running errands... for whatever reason my phone stopped working

and i couldnt text or call so i spent a good bit of my morning trying to get that all fixed.

that afternoon i met up with madyn and her preschool class at a pet store

to go and see some animals.

they had frogs, fish, snakes, mice, rats, guinea pigs, 

chinchillas, sugar gliders, hamsters and hedgehogs.

madyn and me agreed that the hedgehogs were our favorites- they were pretty stinking cute.

i spent the rest of the day volunteering at her school.
afternoons have been pretty rough around the house... i seriously get soooo exhausted
come 2 o'clock... good thing madyn is such a good kid and lets me get caught up on my rest.
but this dang cold is seeming to really kick my butt... i swear the second i think im starting
to get better i take a turn for the worse again.
so a lot of my evenings have been pretty low key just trying to feel better.
wednesday we were only able to make it over to dance class
before i was ready to roll over and fall asleep... seriously this stupid cold is going to
be the death of me!
and it keeps passing back between madyn, me and eric...
come thursday madyn was down and out for the count so she missed school.
i had a doctors appointment to check out our little mr...
so little miss was able to come with.
she was such a trooper all day since i procrastinated grocery shopping,
getting my license renewed and some other errands.
but honestly she was awesome.
as a side note- if you want to look somewhat decent in your renewed driver's license
picture... maybe don't get it done when you are six months pregnant.

saturday eric had to work in the afternoon to late at night so as a prevalentines
day date we decided to head out to have lunch together.
we had a pretty great morning together. 

in the valley

sunday madyn gave the scripture in primary.

i was so proud of her!

she wasnt nervous at all and said it nice and loud for everyone to hear.

after church we got all packed up and me and mads took off for some time in the valley.

in the middle of the night i got super sick and didnt sleep so great.

it was a long night.

monday i got the little kids over to babysit while everyone went off to work.

it was a pretty busy evening... but a good one.

tuesday james had the day off work so he took the kids and watched them

while i headed over to the shop to get some work done.

i had a pretty successful day if i do say so myself.

that night we all spent some time playing games together.

i love those little fibbers!

madyn was having so much fun with all her cousins around.

wednesday i was back babysitting all the kids... and boy were they 

an emotional bunch.

so it was a bit of a long day but by the end they were starting to get along again.

thursday was my last day in the valley and time to get some running around and errands done.

i got some more work at the shop done, but by the end of the night 

i was NOT feeling good at all.

but after a good couple hour rest/ nap i was feeling so much better again.

so that evening me and austy went out for a little date together

to get some icecream. 

friday after we made our rounds to say our goodbyes to everyone.

it was afternoon before we finally made it out of town.
by green river i started not feeling so great again... so we stopped in rock springs
and went over to cafe rio to eat some lunch.
figured that some food and getting out of the car might do some good.
and it did.
it wasnt too long before we were back on the road and finally home.
saturday madyn became attached at eric's hip.
it was a pretty busy day getting stuff done around the house and getting
back into the groove of being home.
we had a great week in the valley but we sure were happy to be back home
with eric as a family :)

back in session.

sunday was a super busy day for me.

busy at church and then decorating for new beginnings...

by the time i got home from there i had to hurry and bake some brownies

and dinner... and by the time i finally ate i had to 

head back to the church to have new beginnings.

madyn right now is super attached to my hip so i had to bribe her with

oreos to stay home with eric while i went to my meetings.

monday madyn wasnt feeling too well- and just didnt want to go to school 

so i let her stay with me.

somedays i think it hits her harder then others that world is going to turn upside

down with a new baby on the way.

hence the attached to the hip stage.

but she had some pretty rancid gas so i figured her tummy was probably bugging her.
and who are we kidding- i dont mind her having some days off every now and again.
with the semester starting back up the burtons were in town for the first couple
of days before clinical/ capstone hours start so we got to have colter over.
we watched him a good part of the day on monday and just for a bit on tuesday.
tuesday madyn wanted to stay home again. this time i think she was feeling lots better
just wasnt feeling like going.
this week has been kind of funny for me... it's like all my pregnancy symptoms are seeming
to hit again and it is totally catching me off guard.
i started out the week constantly hitting the bathroom and wondering why i was peeing all the
stinking dang time.... well duh kylie, you are pregnant.
the same with exhaustion. i have been needing to sit down and at least have a break
if not a nap, and i couldnt figure out why the sudden increase in being so tired....
well duh kylie, you are pregnant.
same with heartburn, my extreme sensitivity to smells, weird food cravings.
i keep asking myself why to all these questions only to have it hit me again-
duh kylie, you are pregnant.
this pregnancy sure has been a lot different then with madyn.
my first trimester i was definitely sicker then with mads... and my acne super increased...
along with my hair is brittle and nasty...
my second trimester hasnt been so bad. the morning sickness definitely let up.
but im a lot more sore and achy- idk if he is just positioned funny or what
but this little thing that is only ounces seems to be killing my body already.
the major thing that i crave with this little mister is citrus.
i cant get enough lemonade.
i seriously go through the gallons like it is going out of style.
but really the exhaustion has hit me hard this past week... and it could have been crohns related
too, i was due for an infusion at the end of the week so who really knows.
but eric has been super awesome and picking up and extra slack that i need help with.
friday i had an infusion scheduled in the morning so to get mads out of the
house so she wasnt crawling all over me he took her over to the dinosaur museum.
which she LOVED sooo much dad finally had to convince her it was closed so they could
actually leave and do something else.

they hit up a few other kid corners in some of the university buildings and she just had a blast.
she was so excited to tell me all about it when they got home.
she is pretty lucky to have such a great dad to do fun things with.
saturday we went to the wyoming- bosie state basketball game.

it was a pretty rough game.

but we got free t shirts and mads got free foam fingers so we were happy.

all in all it was a pretty good week.

my girl would rather go to preschool...

sunday madyn had a much easier time going into sunbeams.

that night she told me all about her lesson.

it tickled my heart.

im glad she is learning and paying attention to what is going on.

eric had a busy day working his second double in a row so we didnt get

to see too much of him.

monday madyn was pretty happy to get back to preschool.

after school i needed to run shopping for a quick bit...

i dont know about this girl...

i cant get her to take a nap at home for the life of me...

but take her shopping and she is out. 

she is quite the little stink!

wednesday eric had the day off and madyn was struggling to get out of bed.

so eric said to her mads do you just want to stay home with mom and dad too?

little miss perked right up and said no i want to go to school!

ya know it's pretty sad when your three year old would rather go to school

then hang out with you...

made me and eric feel pretty lame.

but as a side note it makes me super happy that she loves school.

that night after dance class she insisted on going to young womens with me-

i love that she loves the girls in our ward!

she calls them her church friends :)

friday was a pretty low key day.

i had some running around to do and mads was able to stay

home and hang out with eric while i got some things done.

later that day before eric headed to work he was able to feel ty kick for the first time.

saturday little miss would not leave my side!

but what can i say... she is a cutie.

she wanted to get all dressed up and play snow white.

and yes she expects me to fit my fat pregnant butt inside that little play house.

we had a pretty good day together.
that night her and eric were able to go out on a date together.
he took her out to ice cream.
it was nice to get a little break but it wasnt too long before i missed them!

Jesus wants me for a SUNBEAM!

sunday was madyn's first day in sunbeams!

she really didnt know what to think about it at first quickly adjusted.

when we got home i asked her who her teachers were to see if she remembered.

she told me "girl cook and boy cook."

it gave me a little giggle and then explained to her it's brother and sister... not boy and girl... lol.

that girl sure makes me smile :)

monday and tuesday was pretty low key.

i spent a lot of my time over at madyns preschool.

i love being over there with her.

wednesday we had a pretty busy evening...

i had young womens over at the hospital. the stake put on a big

career exploration for the medical field and it was pretty awesome.

but i had to go the same time as madyns dance class so eric had to take her.

then she got to go on a daddy/ daughter date over to the cowboys basketball game.

madyn was pretty excited to spend the evening with her dad.

thursday i was busy with young womens and planning for new beginnings

so mads got to spend a lot of the day with eric again after preschool.

he has definitely been a huge lifesaver lately. 

especially since the last week or so i have been stinking exhausted.

friday we started our morning out at the doctors office.

today would have been the day we found out the sex of our baby if

we didnt already have those couple other ultrasounds.

madyn was pretty sweet when we started...

she insisted on holding my hand.

our little wiggle worm displayed himself right off... so once again

confirming that he is a boy!

i know this sounds silly but every time the ultrasound tech would 

point out one of his features it was like a little excitement would start all over again.

it was like YAY! he has ears! YAY! he has fingers!

his little foot :)

after awhile i started not feeling good. 

really nauseous, headachey and dizzy...

probably just from laying on my back too long and having ty

cut off some blood flow.

after my appointment we went out for a little date out to eat.

when we got home i pretty much went straight to bed.

madyn was so sweet and stayed right by my side.

she watched netflix on my phone was so good while i got some rest.

that evening eric had to work...

so after some time playing i was able to convince madyn

 to play movie theater with me.

so we got in our comfys and watched Charlotte's Web in bed.

she didnt know quite what to think of it at first... she was freaked out by the rat

and wasnt to thrilled about the spider.

but after convincing her that they were ok...

she absolutely LOVED it.

she about cried when Charlotte died- talk about breaking my heart.

saturday eric had to work a double shift.

there was a pretty big sale at a second hand kid clothing store

so me and mads headed down to do some shopping.

after a week of struggling with her and her little attitude it was kind of a risk

heading out with her... but she was awesome!

she listened and we didnt have any fits. 

and when i needed to her to walk she would walk...

we had the best day hanging out together.

that evening she was pretty goofy.

she insisted on doing her hair- with a kitchen clip.

i dont know about you- but that girl makes me smile!

welcome in 2017

i woke up on new years not feeling so great.

i swear this baby is doing something else to me!

as the day went on i started feeling better.

we spent the first part of the day with the erickson family

and the later part of the day with the gillies family.

when we got back to mom and dads at night miss mads

was a little hyper...

she came in dressed like this and said- hi im kylie. it's my wedding!

she is quite the goofball.

monday since wyochem was observing new years,

me, jamie, eric, maycie, madyn and dad

all went out to eat at the Chinese place in mt view.

it was a pretty hilarious lunch...

i dont think the Chinese waiter liked me very much. lol.

after that i got some work done at the shop while eric went to his eye doctor appointment.

when he finished up we went over to the hysells and hung out a bit.

then we had dinner over at mom and dads with everyone.

after that we went over to the gillies house.

tuesday the weather was looking ok so we decided that we would head back to laramie.

we took chris back with us.

madyn wasnt too sure about him at first... well basically the whole trip.

about 5 minutes out of laramie she decided that he wasnt too bad after all.

they were pretty funny together after that...

they were both just cracking up at each other.

wednesday madyn headed back to school.

she was pretty happy to go back and be with all her friends. 

but it was honestly sooo nasty out.

i was so happy when i went to pick her up to see that they had already cancelled

school for the next day.

that night there was a no unnecessary travel within city limits

so it was nice just to stay home and not have to worry about running

around to dance class or young womens. 

so thursday and friday me and little miss just hung out together.

friday night we had a little sleep over/ movie night.

we cuddled up in bed and watched finding dory.

madyn LOVED it! 

saturday madyn had a big day!

it was her big dance recital.

i told her if she was a good girl we would do her hair and "makeup" and 

get her all dolled up!

she was pretty excited.

she even got some flowers delivered to her from mimi and pop pop.

 she was thrilled!

she had a dress rehearsal that afternoon and then later that evening

we went to her performance.

 tyson and his friend courtney came to watch too.

i was super proud of her!

she really didnt dance at all in dress rehersal, so i was pretty nervous

that she would just stand there.

but she did pretty good!

after we told her that we could go get ice 

cream and fries since she did

so awesome!

so we went to mcdonald- but their ice cream machine was down.

so we went across the street to burger kind.... and wouldnt you know...

their ice cream machine was down too.

luckily we were able to get some at the dairy queen.

it was so fun to spoil and pamper her.

she has started acting out and talking about how she is nervous

and baby ty coming.

it was pretty fun to make her feel special and good about her self.
